how to ensure growth?

The JE Letter

Are you acting with strategic intent?

If you go through life aimlessly, going with the flow and not creating any sort of plan you will end up lost.

We have massive potential to make the world a better place, and this is rooted in having an overflowing cup of love to share with others.

To create abundance you must be detailed in how you go about your days.

You will benefit from contemplating on the possible hiccups you will have, foreseeing how you tend to sabotage yourself.

Do you want to look back at your life and be able to say 'yeah I did that well'?

Clear Priorities

The big picture outcome I'm aiming at is to build a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.

See humans do need to prioritize their own lives before getting all wrapped up with others, because we can only give what we have for ourselves.

The tough piece is that most people have their big picture priorities all fucked up.

'The more we value things outside our control, the less control we have. ' Marcus Aurelius

Most place their attention on that which they can't control, and this transpires into a life filled with unnecessary worry.

I'm aiming to create meaning through what I do control, my daily actions, thoughts and energy levels.

The priority is clear: become the best version of myself so I can give that to the world and help others. A few examples of the wrong priorities: chasing status, climbing the corporate ladder, partying, chasing love, staying with a partner you shouldn't be with, chasing money without a purpose, etc.

I want you to have a bigger reason for becoming financially free, an idea of how you are going to use this tool to improve the world.

When you tie what you are doing to a HUGE goal is helps maintain powerful and amazing thoughts and then you can act on this inspiration.

You want to hold a 10,000 hour vision and understand that great things take patience.

Aiming High

When you build intentionally day after day results are inevitable, I don't want to imply they will come quickly.

The greatest people invested years to become who they became, like Einstein says he didn't fail he found 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Ask yourself: why am I doing what I'm doing? Identify a purpose behind your actions, else they will not be sustainable and you will give up.

And I don't mean some shallow materialistic purpose, it can start that way just be sure to change as you grow.

My whole journey started due to materialistic goals, and I made sure to self reflect as I went and eventually those materialistic aims became much less important to me.

What's so crucial is to hold a desire deep within to continuously improve and seek your true potential, who knows how great you can be?

Go find out.

Watch out for self imposed limits when you begin to craft your purpose, you will have feelings of doubt.

Understand that is being created by your mind, that those limits are IMAGINARY.

See for a long time no one ran a sub 3 minute mile, they thought it was impossible.

Until one man did it, once runners saw that it was do able, many others have broken that 3 minute mile as well...

They all imposed an imaginary limitation on themselves.

Top Down

With a vision built you now need to break that down into the daily acts that you will execute consistently.

I'm going to be releasing my course which touches deeply on this topic within the next 2-3 weeks. You'll benefit greatly from going through life with a top-down approach...

Having a clear vision and purpose is at the top, now we break this down into monthly, weekly and daily execution.

A giant piece to this is learning how to be alone, you can't do deep work in a room full of friends.

My growth skyrocketed when I went from spending time daily with friends to every once and a while. And honestly the quality of the relationships has blossomed due to seeing each other less often, we value another's time way more.

It's priceless to be doing work that you enjoy on a daily basis, work that makes you loose track of time. It will not begin this way my friends, I need you to accept that you will SUCK when you start and that's how all greatness is initiated.

You have clarity on the big picture, but what do you do each day to move you forward?

Well, most importantly you cut out the distractions.

The friends, the bar, the junk food, the entertainment...

YES it may be a rude awakening if you are living aimlessly.

I'm not saying you have to become a saint, but if you are serious about your future you are going to have to prioritize working for it.

Now that you have cleared up some time to invest in yourself, learn how to do focused work.

This is when you are sitting down and consciously focusing at the task, void of any distractions, for an extended period of time.

Your Lens

It's crucial you work to build your level of awareness as you develop yourself, when you are mindful you can catch yourself prior to making mistakes.

I love the idea that a wise person only has to make the mistake once to learn from it.

Sometimes you can actually look at others and see their errors and know what not to do without committing the error yourself.

I did this with my father, I will never allow myself to consume pharmaceutical medication because that drew him into a horrible addictive cycle which essentially was a huge piece to his downfall.

And on the other hand, some mistakes you will have to make before learning the lesson.

I want to share that I make mistakes often, I definitely have some things that I aim to do better.

Think about the quality of your thoughts, environment, actions, and so on...

There are an abundant amount of potential distractions and it's up to you to set the boundaries when it comes to guarding your energy.

See if you are highly aware you will notice how these aspects of life effect you.

When you put quality people around you they will help you grow, and this will lead to increased healthy thinking, which then leads you to taking the best actions possible.

There is nothing in this world that is not connected, life seems to be a massive web of energy.

This is big picture thinking, and if you leave someone feeling good there's a chance they spread that positive energy to others and so on.

See this goes both ways, and this is why it's so crucial that people take responsibility for how they show up and how they make others feel.

Attention To Details

The degree of strategic intent you bring each day will determine how your life unfolds.

To carry on aimlessly, distracted and confused will generate a future that feels just like that.

And if you want a great future it starts with the work you do right now, so we must identify what our actionable steps are each day.

You want to create a vision that is tightly linked to having a purpose, humans need something fulfilling to persist.

It's helpful to set flexible and general goals, don't be so sure you know exactly what to do...

Feel with your gut and intuition, the biggest reason I can continue my work is that in FEELS right. What I mean is this, sure I have inner resistance at times when I have the opportunity to do a podcast, and every time I finish the conversation I am reminded why I do it...

It leaves me feeling amazing.

This feeling is different from instant pleasure because when I'm speaking It's healthy for my mind and there really isn't a downside to it.

Look for areas in your life that create lasting feelings of goodness that have 0 downside and do more of that.

Life is always changing and if you approach each day with intention, aiming to grow you are preparing yourself for the inevitable changes.

Storms come no matter what you do, and the outcome is dependent on the if you stay ready for these storms or do you let them surprise you unprepared?

Sit and think deeply about the future, if you don't create a detailed life by design you'll get something you don't want.

There's a fine line, planning should be idea based and not overly rigid and specific.

It's a unique balance between having faith in the outcome due to the work that you accomplish daily all while listening to your gut feelings, not allowing society and your programming to choose an average future.

Practical Steps

The quality of the questions you ask will link to the quality of your future.

You can change the frame you look through by improving how you ask questions.

Rather than 'why do I feel horrible' -> go with 'what can I do right now to feel a bit better?'.

One will lead to a negatively skewed answer while the others will help you start healing.

Along with that you need to work toward gaining clarity, by taking time to think about what you do and don't desire in your future.

Try:

-Listening to podcast

-Listening to wise YouTube creators

-Taking notes while listening (use the notes app or paper)

-Do this for 1+ hr. a day and I guarantee you start learning a lot

-Test out a daily 5M meditation, it's a great way to reset midday (test for at least 1 week)

-Distance yourself from people who are holding you back

-Test out changing your wake up time (this has been a hack for me I'm uber productive in the AM)

-Consume your body weight in G of protein daily (grass finished meats + eggs are my favorite)

((what you put in your system links to your output so we need healthy food if we want to create our best))

These actionable tips are the foundation to how I strengthened my mind, of course there's a lot more and I will share it all with you as time passes.

I don't want you to get overwhelmed, it's not easy to learn how to enjoy the journey but it's so important to do so.

Recognize what you are aiming at and who you are becoming.

That is the most important part about learning, I know money and status are important but what's 10x more valuable is having a peaceful state of mind.

Now you have an idea of how to be strategic in the way you go about your days, and you know the quality of your questions is a giant piece to this.

Now do me a favor, if you wear a bracelet every time you see that bracelet ask yourself:

What is my life purpose?

I want you to ask this question every time you see the bracelet over the next week...

This is not a question you can answer once. It's infinitely deep, ask:

Why is my purpose important?

And go back and forth between those questions...

I guarantee you after a week of contemplating this you will have gained some new found clarity on the idea.

Don't simply believe me though, test it yourself and see what you conclude.

P.S. The course will be out in the next 3 weeks. DM me 'CHECK' and you'll have a chance to win a copy for FREE.

I want a chance :-)
