Making better judgements
I say often that we don't benefit from judging and criticizing others.
Today, I'll be writing about that topic from an unbiased perspective (as best as I can).
There's a difference between making helpful and unhelpful judgements.
See life is not black and white.
It's absolutely complicated.
What this topic boils down to is, in what way are you going about your judgement.
Do you notice there are many differing styles of doing a thing?
--
Gauging value
--
Whatever it may be, in this situation we are speaking on judgement, the theme is the same.
We have many ways and styles of doing something.
There are usually many differing pros and cons to each method.
Then, some methods in general end up being heathier for everyone in the big picture.
We want to know these methods and lessen the use of the unhealthy ones.
That being said, you can't force others to change so if they aren't interested in the healthier method then that's okay.
When making judgements, paying attention to ones perceived value is a fine one to make.
Most of life operates as value exchanges.
So you benefit greatly by learning how to properly gauge the value of a thing. Now, there are many variables that go into this act.
It may differ for each individual and their natural interest.
Yet, there are some principles to what's valuable.
Is it sustainable?
Is it healthy for your body and mind?
Does it improve the quality of your life in the bigger picture?
These are the sorts of judgements which are great.
An interest in getting to the bottom of whether something is beneficial, or not.

What to avoid
--
There are also styles of judgement which are simply useless.
This would come in forms like gossiping and speaking negatively about others. This is a sign the speaker is not focused on improving themselves.
If they were truly prioritizing their own development they would realize that their energy levels are limited.
And by judging others negatively they are wasting away their energy sources on an act which is not high leverage or helpful to them at all.
Besides in an egotistical and immature way.
A great sign of maturity is someone who avoids getting trapped in petty games. Some of the most common petty games are gossiping, judging on status, chasing money instead of true wealth and immature toxic psychological acts toward another being.
There's a missing link in the minds of people who allow themselves to get trapped in these things.
They don't see the bigger picture.
YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
This is a universal Truth.
If you're going to be helpful, valuable and positive, increasing the qualities of others lives then you will receive that energy back 10x.
Same goes for the opposite end of the spectrum.
Knowing this is one of the most helpful things, as it's normal to have emotional situations, yet with this understanding you can remind yourself to treat others as you'd like to be treated.
Life gets better when you do this very intentionally.

Details matter greatly
--
Understanding how complex life is, how many variables go into each situation, is great.
There are certain words which we are probably better off not using.
Like always and never, these words are limiting, as they create a subconscious pull toward not changing...
Changing often is good, It's usually a sign of evolution.
Life is nuanced.
Sometimes you'll need to make many changes and other times you'll be flowing, feeling great, doing many healthy things throughout the day.
Life is not black and white...
It's not always and never.
It's more so, sometimes and maybe.
What's interesting is both you and I could see the same exact physical scenario unfold, yet we both could come to totally opposing perceptions of the circumstance.
See, humans are constantly projecting our feelings out onto others.
Again, the importance of detailed language comes up.
If we use words like try, could, "only if", ect.
These words have a limiting effect on what you believe yourself capable of doing.
If you don't believe you can do something of course you'll never get it done, you probably won't even give your 100% effort.
So when we replace that language with "I'm going to", or "I will" it brings a much stronger energy into your mind.
This is a subtle way to create inner believe, you need to watch how you think and what you say and do.

Practical education
--
We do ourselves a giant favor by being capable of gauging the amount of leverage something has.
To work at mcdonalds?
Not high leverage.
To learn a skill that can be scaled into a business?
Yes high leverage.
To watch hours of entertainment?
Not high leverage.
To read, write and exercise?
Yes high leverage.
Now we can get very nuanced for a minute.
To read about human psychology, very high leverage because life involves so much human interaction.
To read about a donkey travelling to the moon, eh, it's better than watching TV, just not super high leverage.
By being capable of making these judgements we learn how to invest our time and energy most efficiently, how to make the most out of our limited capacity. We all have the same 24 hours, yet many people's lives vary in quality due to how intentionally they focused on high leverage task.

Having the know how
--
It all comes down to your ability to zoom in and out and the know how to recognize when to do so.
Very often perception comes down to the context of the situation.
We do ourselves such a favor when we remain open minded and willing to consider opposing viewpoints.
This involves zooming out, knowing where a close mind leads you...
Down a dark road.
It's easy to get emotional.
When you get emotional your intelligence lowers and the emotions take over, then we tend to make poor choices.
So, in knowing how to judge what's valuable, it's important that we learn how to regulate our emotions. If not, our judgements will sway in a chaotic manner.
One of the highest leverage task anyone can do is look within.
To figure out why they feel how they feel.
Nobody can ever do that work for you.
This is the difference between the rich man who hates his life and the wealthy man who loves his moments.
One understands how to regulate his internal state, while the other did the external thinking, yet never did the internal investigation and therefore he lacks the deepest pieces of life which are, awareness and fulfillment.
We get what we give.
--
Follow natural interest
--
It's amazing that you are curious enough to read this.
You will learn how to regulate your internal state over time and become truly wealthy.
It's inevitable as long as you combine action, consistency, faith and reflection.
What are your highest leverage task?
What task do you waste time on that are low leverage?
Clarify those and you'll be well on your way.
Each of us are in differing seasons of life, yet identifying your key acts will be very helpful.
And when you delete the time wasters or energy drainers, you'll blast off.

Anti hero
--
Lastly, maybe you're not sure about your direction. So you don't know what task to prioritize.
This is okay.
What don't you want to become?
Reverse engineer.
What habits do you need to drop?
Delete distraction.
