Let's take a break and take a breath

Hey there, . With everything in the news cycle, it’s important to take some time for yourself. Have you heard about 4-7-8 breathing?
4-7-8 breathing is a technique I recently learned about that is supposed to activate our body's natural relaxation and quiet the mind. The steps are very simple.
- Get comfortable (don’t do this while driving!)
- Breathe in for a 4 count. It can be a fast 4 or a slow 4, whatever you’re comfortable with
- Hold that breath in for a 7 count; same tempo
- Breathe out through pursed lips for an 8 count. Think of blowing out a candle
Repeat this 3 times, and you’ll immediately feel better.
