so I tried dating 😂

Dear Friends,
On Monday morning, I threw the sheets back, my foot hit the floor, and then... it was Friday. Actually, more like it was January 1, I threw back the sheets, my foot hit the floor, and then it was March 8th! AND, I recently realized that I am eligible to retire on June 30th! RETIRE?? WTAF?
Like, where the heck is the time going? Some days I feel like I am on a waterslide, going faster than the water.
And the wheels continue to fly off my bus as I am driving it (down some goat trail, bumping along in the wilderness). This is my analogy for life, really. If I didn't have friends with a solid sense of humour, none of it would be very funny. As it stands, we provide endless entertainment for one another when we meet for dinner to catch up. Thank goodness for the BFF's.
- I stood in front of my closet, trying to purge a bit, and then I was struck,
wondering, "Who am I? Who do I want to be? What juicy goodness do I want in this next phase of life? I realized that it was hard to push through to the next stage of purging because I had all this identity clutter. I have spent some time letting go of all the women I have been, and all the versions of me that never came to be. Major. Breakthrough. It also felt a bit like my first WTF Moment in my book, WTF to OMG, only then I was 33, not 54. WTF to OMG: The Midlife Edition is loading...
- The dogs both needed dental care. Can we say cha-ching? But I love my vet because he keeps my sweet pups healthy.
- Then, one of the horses got an infection from scratching her leg on a tree. Have you ever tried to keep a horse clean and dry in spring when she lives in the pasture? It's tricky. More vets. But boy, do I love these vets. Might I like animals more than people?
- I went to pick up my RX, and apparently, estrogen patches are "shorted" so they tried to give me a patch the size of a dinner plate. I leaned in real close and said, "There is NO spot on my entire body smooth enough for the patch to adhere. Please keep it and pass it along to a smoother menopausal woman." Here is hoping the short doesn't last too long, or it could get ugly. LOL.
- The most humorous of all ... I decided to dabble in the dating world again... and was chatting to a "seemingly nice guy" when ... (I can't even say it! You.cannot.make.this.stuff.up!) I seriously think I should invite stories from the singles out there who are dating for a book collaboration project because it is like the wild west out there!
