💛 Family, Faith & A Whole Lot of Planning
Hey ,
We just wrapped up our March 28th Family Reunion Planning Meeting and let’s just say… it was productive, real and definitely full of personality 😄
From opening prayer to final decisions (and a few hilarious moments in between), we’re officially on our way to making this year’s reunion one to remember!
📅 Here’s What You Need to Know
🎉 Reunion Dates
We’re locking in a 3-day reunion:
Friday – Saturday – Sunday
📍 Second weekend in September
🏡 Weekend Breakdown
- Friday: Meet & Greet at Emma Washington (Baba's house)
- Saturday: Main Event (games, food, fun!) at Natasha Collins house
- Sunday: Church Service: Rock of Ages Baptist Church Dianne Goldsmith home church
💰 Dues Update (Important!)
We’ve moved to a per-person structure:
- Ages 2–6: $10
- Ages 7–12: $20
- Ages 13–18: $30
- Ages 19+: $50
📌 Deadline to pay: July 25
💡 You can pay in installments—no pressure to pay all at once.
And just to be clear:
No one will be excluded if they’re going through a tough time.
If you need support, reach out privately—we’ve got each other.
🎯 What’s Coming This Year
We’re leveling things UP:
- Adult field day games 👀
- Bounce houses & kid activities
- Bingo, spades & family competitions
- More structure… but still plenty of fun
👉 Got ideas? We want them!
We’ll be collecting suggestions for:
- Activities
- Food menus
- Anything you want to see this year
🍗 For Real Though…
One of the easiest ways to get folks to show up?
Food.
So yes… we’ll have that covered! 😄
💬 Real Conversations That Matter
We also started an important discussion around:
- Scholarships
- What defines “Family”
- How we support each other moving forward
No final decisions yet—but the conversation is open, honest and ongoing.
📣 What We Need From You
✔️ Mark your calendar
✔️ Start submitting ideas
✔️ Spread the word to the family
✔️ Start your payments early if you can
Because this reunion?
It only works when everybody shows up—however they can.
❤️ Final Thought
This isn’t just about a weekend.
It’s about:
- Staying connected
- Building memories
- Creating something that lasts for generations
And if this meeting was any indication…
👉 We’re off to a powerful start!
See you at the next meeting (and yes… there will be food 😄)
With love,
The Family Reunion Committee
