ProLab is changing — smaller groups, greater consistency, better development

A new 4-week ProLab structure built around smaller groups, consistent attendance and development that transfers to the game.

Hi everyone,

Over the past year, ProLab has continued to evolve.

I've had the opportunity to work with players from many different backgrounds - youth players, student-athletes, senior players, aspiring college players and professionals - and it has also given me a clearer picture of what makes the ProLab environment work at its best.

The answer isn't more players. It's the right players, consistently working together in smaller groups.

Because of that, I'm making an important change to the way ProLab operates.

Book yourself in

PROLAB ID - €60 / 4 WEEKS

Instead of the previous €60 for 5 open-ended sessions, ProLab ID will now operate in 4-week development cycles.

Your €60 membership gives you:

• One regular 90-minute ProLab ID session per week
• Up to 4 sessions during each 4-week cycle
• Wednesday OR Friday, 10:00-11:30
• Sportcentrum VU, Amsterdam
• A deliberately small and selected training group

The important difference is that you're no longer purchasing credits to use whenever you want. You're reserving your place in a consistent development environment for four weeks.

That allows me to know who I'm actually working with each week, keep the groups small, build chemistry between players and design sessions around the development needs of the people who are consistently there.

ProLab also isn't becoming a traditional drill-based basketball workout.

We'll continue working through the principles that have always driven Ubuntu Basketball: decision-making, reads, spacing, timing, shooting adaptability, finishing under pressure and competitive 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 situations, using Constraint-Led Approach and Differential Learning principles to create development that transfers to the actual game.

What if you previously trained at ProLab?

I'd love to hear from former ProLab players who are looking for additional development again. The new structure is intentionally smaller, so I'm not trying to fill the gym with as many people as possible.

If Wednesday or Friday mornings fit your schedule and you're serious about consistently improving alongside your regular team environment, reach out to me directly. We'll first determine whether ProLab ID is the right fit and which day makes the most sense.

Already have ProLab credits?

Nothing you've already purchased disappears. Existing prepaid credits remain valid under the conditions under which they were purchased. Once those have been used, you can move into the new four-week structure.

Higher-frequency development, professional-player support and individual/semi-private development will also remain possible, but those arrangements will be made directly with me depending on the player's situation and needs.

This next version of ProLab is ultimately about something very simple:

fewer random sessions, more consistency, smaller groups and better basketball development.

If that sounds like the environment you're looking for, reply to this email and tell me a little about where you're currently playing and what you're looking to improve.

See you on the court,
