Eid Mubarak — and a question worth sitting with today

As-Salam alaikum ,

Eid Mubarak.

Every year on Eid al-Adha we remember Ibrahim ﷺ for the sacrifice.

We should also remember him for what came after — he and Ismail ﷺ picked up stones and built the Ka'bah.

A structure billions still orient toward five times a day, thousands of years later.

The sacrifice was the moment of conviction. The building was the civilisational act.

That distinction is at the heart of a piece I published two weeks ago in 1Nation Media. There I argued that African Muslim media keeps producing inspiration without infrastructure. The content moves people emotionally but builds nothing that channels that energy into lasting change.

Eid Mubarak once more.

May Allah accept from us all.

Wasalaam,
