Dear friends,
I hope you are well and looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday!
As I’ve been sharing on social media for the past few months, I’ve written a book titled A Test for Our Time: Crisis Leadership in the Next Normal. It’s my memoir about leading OraSure Technologies Inc. during the pandemic to do the extraordinary. The “test” is the existential challenge that we all faced between 2020 and now, as well as OraSure’s acclaimed InteliSwab® Rapid COVID-19 Test—the “easiest to use” test of its kind and the “#1 Standout Product” to hit drugstore shelves in 2021. For more on the book, please visit my website: www.tang.ceo. My book is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2023 by New Degree Press.
New Degree Press believes in community-building as part of the publication process. I selected them to gestate my book because their approach is aligned with my life’s work to “belong, lead, and elevate communities near and far.” A key step in the gestation is to sell tickets to my book launch events—both virtual and in-person—in the spring of 2023.
I am also offering some exclusive rewards for people who buy a ticket to my book launch:
- All tickets include either a physical copy (softcover, paperback) or digital copy (e-book) when I publish and a handwritten “thank you” note.
- Your name will appear in the Acknowledgments section of my book (“with Special Thanks to”).
- You will be invited to join my Author Community and get behind-the-scenes sneak peeks into the publishing process.
- You will receive early access to the Introduction and some excerpts from my book, with the opportunity to review it and give me early feedback.
- And more!
Event ticket sales for my book launch begins this Friday, November 18th. I’ll send you an email to let you know when the site is live on Friday.
Until then, thank you for being such a valuable part of my life. Whether you buy a ticket or not, I cherish you and the important role you’ve had in my life’s journey.
I am grateful for you!
Warmest regards,
Steve Tang

Steve, congratulations on all that you've done, but mostly on all that you ARE: A brave, brilliant and beautiful man. Truly a leader for our time. Writing this book is yet another act of generosity on your part. Thank you --can't wait to read it!
