ENTREPRENEUR OR SELF-EMPLOYED

Hello,

Have you ever wondered what the difference between an entrepreneur and a self-employed person is?

In my book, ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS A BEAUTIFUL THING; I wrote a lot about what it means to be an entrepreneur in there. I defined entrepreneurship as the process of using systems and strategies with limited resources to create values and solutions to problems while taking associated risks and achieving profits. Anyone who does this is an entrepreneur.

On the other hand, a self-employed is an individual who performs labor, spend their time physically working their own business from day to day as a business owner. The business cannot continue in the absence of a self-employed.

When a business is new, the founder is actively involved with lots of things that keep the business growing. This could be graphics design, financial balancing, product development, strategic marketing, customer relationship management, social engagement and many more. As far as this is still the case, the founder is still an employee. Employed by himself for his own business.

If this is where you are, I want to tell you that you are doing just great, because you are steps ahead of one who haven’t begun. This also give you some measure of freedom and control over your work and time and should be considered an achievement by itself.

However, entrepreneurship is the goal. And if you have come this far, then you can go on to become a highly successful entrepreneur.

Whatever level your business is, keep before you the goal to become an entrepreneur and keep getting better at your entrepreneurial skill.

You must continue to envision a time where there is so much structure and systems in your business that it runs without you. Almost all entrepreneurs began as a self-employed, but true success and beauty lies in going for entrepreneurship.

Do you want a business that will run and maintain its operation with or without you? such that whether you are present or not, orders still get shipped, services offered, invoices go out, and deposits keep hitting your business account.

All these and more is achieved by structures and systems, and they are what truly makes entrepreneurship a beautiful thing.

My book; ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS A BEAUTIFUL THING will give you hands-on knowledge on how you can put systems and structures into your business. You can get it at www.yemisiadeyeye.com/get-my-book.

One of my driving passions is to help you transcend from being self-employed into entrepreneurship, to bring you to a place of freedom and beauty that entrepreneurship offers.

This was why I wrote my book; entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing. It is why I send you these emails weekly and I will not relent in my commitment to help you attain structure and systems in your business.

Have a great week and remember that nothing happens without somebody making it happen.

Do make things happen this week.

Yours in entrepreneurship,

Dr Yemisi
