How are you doing today? I hope you are on top of your game and my email meets you well.

I hosted a number of female entrepreneurs at the American corner Ikeja last Friday as the president of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs alumnae association.

It was a fantastic time to truly take a break and relax. All we did was dance, paint, network and collaborate.

Here is what I want you to think about in light of this:

• You can't thrive as a business owner being a lone ranger. You need to belong to some business associations, plant yourself among a network of people who inspire, motivate and support you.

• When you join one or more, you should decide to show up. Be involved, volunteer to do something, give something and be a living part of the association.

 You needed to see the radiance, joy and glow from all the ladies, as we unwind last friday, all because they showed up.
