Hi ,

Is remote work really less productive, or are we just experiencing a case of "Deja Vu all over again"? Let's dive into the fascinating world of productivity and see if we can find some answers.

WATCH MY INTERVIEW!

According to a recent survey, remote employees have been caught red-handed taking advantage of their newfound flexibility. The statistics are quite disturbing ...and amusing:

But wait, there's more!

With these eye-opening numbers, it's no wonder that 85 percent of leaders are losing confidence in their remote employees' productivity. However, there's a mind-boggling twist for you.

Now before you jump on the bandwagon and issue your mandate to return to the office, brace yourself for a plot twist. The latter employee time wasting results are a blast from the past: 2005 to be exact, 18 years ago!

It's clear that time-wasting habits are nothing new, whether in the era of remote work or the traditional office setup. So, let's set the record straight and debunk the myth that remote work is solely responsible for these shenanigans. It's time to address the real underlying issues.

Managers have a knack for gaslighting and deflecting, conveniently blaming remote work for all the productivity challenges. However, the truth is, employees have been masters of time-wasting for ages. Remember when managers threatened to remove water coolers four decades ago, assuming it would eliminate gossip and socializing?

Fast forward to today, and those same managers are longing for the water cooler banter that sparked serendipitous moments and fueled innovation. The missing water cooler talk has left them yearning for that magical creative spark. So, dear managers, I pose a question: is water cooler talk a mere distraction, or could it actually be the catalyst for innovation? Perhaps it's time to reflect on your ability to create serendipitous moments while managing a remote or hybrid workforce.

Now it's your turn to share your experiences and insights! Have you found ways to thrive and innovate while working remotely? We're eager to hear your thoughts.

Stay tuned for our next newsletter, where I’ll continue to delve into innovative and effective strategies to boost productivity and foster innovation in remote and hybrid work environments. Together, let’s conquer the challenges and forge a path to success in this ever-evolving Never Normal work landscape.

Until next time,
