“The goal of modern propaganda is no longer to transform opinion but to arouse an active and mythical belief.”

Greetings!
My apologies, once again…as last week, this week’s message is also exceedingly short.
As I mentioned last week, I am dealing with some personal business that is taking more time than expected.
That said, I do have some good news to share! Next week I will be introducing a new project: our Amusing Ourselves To Death read-along. I have been wanting to go more deeply into a specific text, so over the coming weeks and months, we will be looking closely at Neil Postman’s most famous work.
Also, I am happy to be able to offer you Part Two of my interview with Professor Lance Strate of Fordham University. Strate was a student of Neil Postman and is one of the main contemporary proponents of Media Ecology.
You can watch the interview here:
Interview With Lance Strate, Part Two
Have a great weekend…and I will get back to more substantial regularly scheduled messages soon!
Warmly,
Herman
