Hello Darklings !
Check out this scene and character art from my debut novel ,
Eternal Love!
Kris looked deeper into my eyes. Deeper than ever before. They pulled me into a trance.
“Dalia, we will be joined in death, so we can be joined in life. This can only be done by blood. The very life within our veins.”
He held up a small blade in his hand.
“Will you take my life?” he said reverently.
“I will.” Every second felt as if eternity had passed as soon as the words left my lips.
Kris etched the blade across his wrist. Blood leaked from the wound and onto his hand, and he cupped his bloodied hand onto my chest. Covering the amulet adorning my neck with his blood.
“Then my blood will cover you, and you will be mine,” he stated. My eyes could not stray from Kris as he spoke, and my breath became heavy.
