Good News, Cover Reveal, and Announcements

Something will be published this year...

October is here, let the Halloween spookiness commence!

First I have two pieces of good news.

One, Adventure at Reichenbach, the fifth Heyward and Andersen story, is with the editor, so it will be published this year, hopefully by the end of the month or early November. If it comes out before the next newsletter I'll send a special release announcement.

Here's a look at the cover.

And in the second piece of good news, the Venice vampire short story I submitted to the anthology got accepted. So, Vampire in Venice will be part of the Exquisite Undead anthology, releasing September 2027. I can't wait for everyone to meet Luca de Salis, the amoral vampire in the story.

I'm also trying something new this month with my art and posting pieces created with Inktober prompts. If you want to see what I'm doing, be sure to follow either my Instagram or Facebook page.

And from October 23rd to 25th I'll be participating in another Stuff Your E-reader event, so there will be an extra mailout this month.

Greetings from Moon Hill - Complete Edition by Anthony Rapino

Prepare for Anthony J. Rapino's new novel, Precipice of Nowhere (coming this October 23rd from Crystal Lake Publishing's Torrid Waters imprint), with this FULL, free copy of Greetings from Moon Hill.

Somewhere in Northeastern Pennsylvania, nestled between the forests and foothills of the Poconos, you'll find the forgotten town of Moon Hill. It's a surreal place of arcane magic and natural wonder, where a hint of autumn lingers in the air, the leaves are always turning, and the shadows grow long no matter the time of day. You might say Moon Hill is special, an eerie pocket of Americana frozen in time, filled with eccentric characters and deathly secrets that transcend reality. And like most small towns, it also has a dark side.

This book is a roadmap to the lost town's terrifying mysteries. Wander through the brush of Moon Hill State Forest and explore its otherworldly flora in "From Your Body They Rise." Bear witness to the interdimensional war raging above Old Road in the novella, "Reality Engineers." Conjure autumnal spirits with Handy Weber in "Halloween on the Hill," sample the peculiar glowing ale brewed by Slow Ewan in "Struck by Golden Lightning," and pay your respects with blood at the old Whistler place in "Just Once More, Little Sister."

As you explore Moon Hill's darkened corners, you will discover a town built upon a foundation of nightmares.

Welcome to Moon Hill.

FANTASY

Solomon's Gap by Jessica Zellman

Great-Aunt Sula made sure Lou's childhood was full of stories.
Stories about the Wild Hunt.
About devils at the crossroads.
About the power of Viking Runes.
About monsters buried deep in the mountain overlooking their small Pennsylvania town.
Lou thought they were fairy tales.
She was wrong.
After Sula's death, Lou returns to Solomon's Gap and she realizes Sula wasn't telling stories.
She was leaving instructions.
And the monsters trapped in the burning mountain are about to break free.
