Dear Readers & Friends,
For years, through my work as a mental health research social worker, author, and advocate, I've explored the profound connections between our inner lives and the world around us. I've witnessed firsthand how subtly, yet powerfully, our surroundings impact our thoughts, emotions, and overall well-being.Today, I am absolutely thrilled to finally announce the release of my newest book, "Personal Spaces: How Environmental-Emotional Connections Shape Our Psychological State."
This book, just like my others, is the culmination of years of research and my deepest insights into how the spaces we inhabit, from our homes to our workplaces, and even our digital realms, are not just passive backdrops, but active participants in our psychological journey.
"Personal Spaces" will guide you through:
- The hidden dialogue: Uncover the subtle language your environments speak to your nervous system, often below your conscious awareness.
- The science behind the feeling: Explore the fascinating research in environmental psychology that reveals how light, color, sound, and even touch profoundly influence your mood, energy, and cognitive function.
- Practical transformations: Learn evidence-based strategies to intentionally shape your surroundings, creating spaces that actively nurture your mental health, enhance your focus, and invite deeper rest.
- Tailored insights: Discover how your unique sensitivities, whether neurodivergent or influenced by life's seasons, can be supported by thoughtful environmental design.
This book is not only about aesthetics or interior design. It's thought-provoking journey into understanding yourself more deeply through the lens of your environment. Reading this book will help in empowering you to become the conscious architect of your own well-being, through transforming your spaces into allies for your psychological flourishing.
