🎉 Celebrating 5 Years of IANWA: Your Stories, Our Journey—Join Us Inside!
Apr 18, 2024 12:00 pm
Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you well!
If you had told me five years ago that I'd start a podcast and never miss a week for 60 months, I would have said it was impossible. Yet, here we are—this month marks the fifth anniversary of the I am Northwest Arkansas podcast.
In nearly 300 episodes, we've highlighted the people, organizations, and unique charm that make Northwest Arkansas special. Often, I reflect on what has driven me to maintain this effort. The answer isn't entirely clear, but I know it has a lot to do with my passion for connecting with people and sharing their stories. Everyone has a story, and I feel privileged to use this platform to share as many as possible from the Ozarks.
A heartfelt thank you to each of you who has been a part of this journey. Your support means everything.
Just before writing this email, I received a touching note from a listener. It reminded me once again why I do what I do. Here’s what they had to say, shared with their permission:
Hi Randy and the IANWA team,
"Just wanted to reach out and thank you for this wonderful podcast. I've been listening over the past week and really enjoying it. I recently moved back to the area from Boston, and hearing the transplant stories has been really encouraging. Like your guests and host, I also love NWA. I've lived in 8 states in my 32 years, and NWA is the only place I've ever moved back to. I hope NWA becomes my family's permanent home and every episode of IANWA makes it feel a little bit more like home."
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Aaron
I'll admit, I got a little choked up when I first read this email. It was a hit with my team too.
So, it looks like I’ll keep pressing the RECORD button. We are committed to bringing you the most encouraging and informative stories out there. While some episodes might hit hard like an anvil, and others might be more subtle, we're dedicated to delivering stories that matter, every single day.
Here's my weekly update for April 17th, 2024...

Finally...
That's probably enough for one email. I have run out of things to say. Maybe I'll just get back to work on another upcoming episode. I want to give a special shout out to my wonderful team, Caroline Baker, Nicola Wilburn, Jerson Obial, and Margot Moulton. These guys certainly make things happen behind the scenes.
I also want to thank some of the many sponsors of the podcast including my main sponsors, ONBoardNWA.com, Gary Head and the team at Signature Bank of Arkansas, KUAF Public Radio and the good folks at Ozarks at Large, and of course the NWA Council for all they do to highlight where Northwest Arkansas is and where we are going.
It does take a village.
I'll be back soon with another email.
I promise. ;-)
