Day 1: Which channel wins you clients? (Valentine's week special)
Feb 09, 2026 1:19 pm
Hey there, Valentine's week starts today (at least for me it does). And just like dating, client outreach is all about choosing the right channel based on where your prospect actually hangs out.
Most people pick one channel randomly and go all-in. That's a mistake.
Here's what actually works in 2026:
Cold calling still works - but with conditions. I paid 2000 AED to learn cold calling from Saad Khaja, and it's one of the cheapest methods that still gets results. Saad is crushing it via cold calls. My experiments? Same story - good response rates.
But here's the catch: cold calling works best if you're calling within your own country or if you have an accent that isn't looked down upon where you're reaching out. Also, follow local rules - for example, you can't legally call a business in UAE without permission.
If you can't spend more than $250/month on outreach infrastructure, cold calling is your best bet alongside LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Email is still king for B2B, but it's saturated now. The biggest expense isn't the tools - it's getting quality leads. If your lead budget is tight, skip email for now.
LinkedIn works best if your ICP is actually hanging out there. Selling to VPs, founders, marketers? LinkedIn is gold. Selling to handymen or local service businesses? Wrong channel. The upside: qualified leads. The downside: DM and connection request limits.
Twitter/X has a specific audience - money twitter gurus, SaaS bros, outspoken founders. If that's your ICP, you're in. If not, move on.
Instagram is where you'll find coaches, creators, and B2C businesses. If you're selling to them, this is your playground.
WhatsApp is the secret weapon. Voice notes and disappearing images as follow-ups work insanely well. Same tactics crush on LinkedIn messages too.
The truth? All of these can work individually. But multi-touchpoint outreach wins every time.
Engage on their platform, send a cold email or WhatsApp message, follow up with a voice note, then call if needed. Stack the touchpoints.
Want the exact cold calling framework I learned from Saad Khaja?
Reply with "COLD CALL LESSONS" and I'll send you the breakdown - scripts, objection handling, when to call vs when to message, and how to navigate the legal side.
Also - I'm running a 7-day Valentine's Client Conquest series this week. Each day, I'll break down one critical piece of modern outreach:
- Day 2: Subject lines that get opened
- Day 3: Building trust before the pitch
- Day 4: Personal branding that closes deals
- Day 5: CTAs that actually get replies
- Day 6: Crafting offers they can't refuse
- Day 7: Follow-ups and sales call structure
By the end of this week, you'll have a full outreach system that works.
Want help building this into your business?
I'm opening up a few spots for free 30-min lead gen strategy calls this week. We'll audit your current outreach, identify what's broken, and map out a fix.
Let's win some clients this Valentine's week.
Best,
Divij
P.S. Seriously, reply "COLD CALL LESSONS" right now. The framework includes the exact scripts, tonality shifts, and compliance tips that got me results. You'll steal at least 3 tactics from it.
