Cold Email just became Expensive

Feb 03, 2024 3:51 pm

Hey , If you follow any cold email experts online, you know that Google and Yahoo (which make up 1/3 of all emails) are changing things when it comes to cold emailing in February.

  1. No more sending cold emails from free email accounts.
  2. Need to have proper DMARC, DKIM, and SPF settings for sending cold emails.
  3. Need to include opt-out links even in your cold emails.
  4. No more than 0.3% spam rate for your emails.
  5. Sending no more than 5000 emails/month per user.

If you break any of these rules, your emails may end up in spam folders.

So is cold email dead? Not at all, but it will be more expensive to send them and you risk damaging your domains if you haven't practiced good outreach.

What should you do?

Start with more forgiving platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Step One - Choose a profitable niche that needs your service.

Step Two - Write a short message with a case study, asking to schedule a quick call. Have 9+ helpful content pieces for your audience.

Step Three - Send to 200+ people in 10 days (20 messages/day throughout the day).

I'd expect you to book at least 2-3 calls - if not, review your case study, leads, and messaging.

Once you've perfected your messaging and closed clients from calls, buy domains, emails, and an email tool. I'd estimate Rs. 6500 during the initial month and then Rs. 4000 afterwards.

DO NOT SEND COLD EMAILS before doing this experiment.

BTW, I have opened up a 5 slots for one-on-one coaching specifically for people that are transitioning from being a Freelancing to a full-fledged Agency Owner.

I help with:

  1. Crafting your offer
  2. Creating a Lead Gen strategy
  3. Scaling your Agency
  4. Building fulfillment systems.

Recently referred one of my students with a $500/mo client a couple days after joining the program.

If you're interested, let's discuss your needs on a Discovery Call.

Please note this requires investment so it's not for absolute beginners.
