How to find your very first B2B Client?

Hey , So yesterday, I was at a meetup organized by the SMMA guru of Delhi - Shivam Gupta, it was nice to hang out with his tribe and talk about freelancing and growing an agency.
He's a super nice guy and quite humble really. Very knowledgeable about cold email.
I did get a lot of insights there as well.
The biggest insight is that a lot of people have been gravitating towards freelancing - probably because they wanna moonlight since they're not satisfied with their jobs.
And even if you have never had a job in your life, you can always close B2B clients if you follow the following steps:
Step 1: Create a profile on LinkedIn or wherever you think your area of expertise is the most relevant. Not just create a profile, push out quality content. If you've been doing something for a while, you won't imagine how something that is so obvious to you might be an absolute gem of information for the other person.
This also stands you apart than others in the same league as yourself.
Step 2: Reach out to your ideal niche with one of these offerings:
- A small gig in exchange for a free testimonial (you're just starting out and testimonials are what you want to get the most of)
- A free audit to them and price your services at the lower level in the beginning. You can always increase it later on once you have enough client results under your belt.
Step 3: Keep on sending DMs - Stay within your daily limits for whatever platform that you're using - you just can't expect to get a close within your first few DMs.
Unless you're DMing in 100s, you won't have any idea of what offer is working and what's not.
Just keep on pushing.
And once a client shows interest in what you're offering, follow up after every few days, there were some people in the meetup that were following up for more than 6 months with the client before they finally made that close - and the money was life-changing for them.
That's it for a quick mid-week check-in.
