Hello ,

On Sunday I got the chance to operate on the West Island Model Railroad Club in Hicksville, NY. They use an interesting modification on car cards, which I am realizing now that I did not get a picture.

I got to run a local, a road train, some Hostler work and sort cars on their hump yard.

I am getting more comfortable with operations, in general. I am starting to understand the overall concepts allowing me to enjoy the train movement.

Island Ops is coming up in a month. I do not have a confirmation as to what layouts I will have the chance to operate on, Here is the list that I requested.

Friday | Erie 28th Street

Sat Morn | Great Lakes & Iron Range

Sat After | Allegheny & Western

Sunday | Great Northern Railway

There are so many great layouts in the area it was really hard to select. These layouts will also be available to operate on during the 2023 NER Convention.
