Investors who had backed away from precious metals in 2022 may be ready to re-enter the sector in 2023. Jeffrey Christian, managing partner at CPM Group, has seen increased interest from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals in the first few weeks of the new year. He predicts that 2023 will be a period of transition, with a higher interest rate environment and a softening of inflation. He expects the gold price to reach a low of around $1,700-$1,720 per ounce in the middle of the year and a price closer to $2,000 by the end of the year.
