Sending this July 4th Email again because some may not have received it originally

Huntingdon POA

Happy 4th of July,

Pool Update:

The pool is 95% complete! Upon its completion, we look forward to opening the pool this upcoming week pending the Health Department Inspection.

We’ve spoken to the Washington County Health Inspectors and they are working overtime to get to everyone that needs an inspection. Because of COVID-19, they are backed up. They have promised us that they will be out this upcoming week now that we have the water in place - it's presently 2/3rds full as I write this, and it will be full and ready to go by the time they get here.

We've heard your questions and concerns about the use of the pool. I just want to reiterate that because of COVID-19, we have to modify our pool use on many levels. Other than as outlined below, no outside guests will be allowed in the pool this year because we need to maximize the availability of the pool to everyone that actually lives in our subdivision. Anyone that lives in our POA and has paid their annual dues and Special Assessment, will have pool privileges.

Everyone who wants to swim MUST sign up for a time slot online.

That being said:

On Monday thru Friday, residents will be allowed to bring immediate family members (children and grandchildren) as long as they have waivers on file and sign up for a slot online.  No more than 6 people per household will be allowed at any given time.

On Saturday and Sunday, the pool will be for residents only--meaning only people who actually live in the neighborhood.

In addition to these restrictions, we will be implementing the following schedule to protect our more vulnerable residents.

Monday - Friday

6:30 AM-8:00 AM Lap Swim Only

8:00 AM-9:30 AM Senior time and Anyone with Health Issues

9:30 AM-9:00 PM Open Swim

9:00 PM-11:00 PM Adult Swim

Saturday and Sunday

7:00 AM-9:00 PM Open Swim

9:00 PM-11:00 PM Adult Swim

The maximum number of people in the pool as of right now is 40 which is 50% of our actual pool capacity (this number is subject to change upon further guidance from Washington County Department of Health).

Here are the basic pool rules that have to be followed due to COVID-19.

  1. You must maintain a distance of 6 feet between other groups
  2. You must Sign Waiver before Pool Use
  3. **You must bring your own chair and take it with you when you leave. We may modify this if we set up chairs that remain at the pool. If we do you will be responsible for cleaning after use.
  4. You must sign up with Sign Up Genius for your pool time. Residents can only sign up for one 2-hour block per day. However, if at the end of your block you see there are spots for the next block free, you can extend your stay another 2 - hours by signing up.
  5. Residents must wear masks when not in the pool
  6. Please make sure to use hand sanitizer provided
  7. Please be a courteous neighbor and only sign up for slots that you know you are able to use.

Thanks for reading this long letter. I wanted to send out via Facebook and Email to ensure that everyone received it. We are also attaching a PDF of the Waiver Form if you'd like to fill it out at home. Waivers can be emailed to [email protected] or left in the pool house for collection. You may also share any updated email address you have with the HPOA Secretary for our records.

A couple of people have asked about extending the Pool Season and this year I'm all for it as long as the weather cooperates and the leaf situation doesn't get out of hand. We will see.

The Board appreciates all of our Neighbors and we look forward to having a safe and uneventful 2020 Pool Season.

Yours Truly,
