When Fear Can Be a Good Thing!

Nov 12, 2021 6:21 pm

It's 6:16 AM in shitty blue New Jersey.

I almost didn't hit the early grind today.

My mind told me it was okay because it was Friday.

Sleep wasn't kind to me last night. I went down at about 11 PM and woke up at 2 AM—and then could not fall back asleep because my mind does too much thinking.

So, I sat up reading for about an hour and tried to fall back asleep around 3 AM.

Then my 5 AM alarm rang. That's when my mind gave me the "Friday excuse". I convinced myself that this was merely an excuse not to be great so I compromised with the snooze button—closed my eyes and went back to sleep.

15 minutes later my alarm rang again and once again the "Friday excuse" told me to sleep in.

And then I thought about you.

I thought about the promise I made to write these letters to you every morning. The fear of judgement hit me and I rose from my bed like the Undertaker from WWE.

There's no way I can let the people down.

And that's today's lesson. If you want to set some sort of goal in your life, tell everyone around you. Your conscience and fear of judgement will hold you accountable.

LIFE HACK!

Anyway, today's the last day to win a copy of "The Patriot Report."

It's a new day to tweet for more entries!
