We were in the middle of one of our Mogul Summits and one promising young musician asked, "How can I find time to work on my music when I have a job, and by the time I get home from work, I'm too tired to be productive?"

The quick answer is, QUIT YOUR JOB!

Depending on your financial situation, that may be a risky thing to do. After all, we do have bills to pay.

Okay, so, quitting your job isn't an option.

What do you do then?

This week, I decided to start working on my latest magnum opus dealing with politics in America, and I used this hack to get started on the book.

What's the hack you ask?

Put yourself FIRST!

I ask on Twitter often, "What did you give your energy to 2day that didn't deserve it?"

But the better question is, "What did you give your energy to FIRST?"

You start your day with your human battery on 99.9% (hopefully), and as the day goes on, that battery slowwwwwwly drains.

Whoever or whatever grabbed your energy early in the day, won the day!

So, before I did anything, I started writing my new book.

As a result, I didn't get around to sending my daily newsletter but I didn't care because I put ME first. This new avant garde work I'm writing is way more pivotal to our future and I've officially started on it.

Getting started on a project is always the most difficult thing to do (the second hardest is finishing).

And that's what I told that young musician at the Mogul Summit.

Before you give your boss your precious and limited energy, give your music your energy. That may mean waking up earlier but at least your boss didn't steal the best of your day...the start.

Anyway, if you can't afford the monthly commitment for the summit, maybe you should start with creating another stream of cashflow.
