3-Point Thursday #262
Oct 22, 2021 2:14 am
Hey,
This week's 3-pointer:
πLions split European home double-header
We (me and Brad) were at the Copper Box yesterday for the London Lions' first European double-header. The women suffered a tough defeat to Czech side Zabiny Brno to drop to 1-1, while the men edged out Austrian side Kapfenberg Bulls to improve to 2-0. Though attendance wasn't great, gameday presentation was really taken up a notch - the Lions have used some of their deep pockets to hire a game night co-ordinator/floor manager and it made a difference.
π BBL Top Plays are back
We've been working through a little backlog, but we're back with the BBL top 10 featuring the best plays of the week, once again with Tahir Hajat providing all the entertainment needed on the voice-over! Check out week 1 here, week 2, week 3 and then week 4 (this weekend just gone) should be out asap! Some early observations - Glasgow's Jordan Harris likely to be up there in league leaders in spectacular dunks this season, Isaiah Reese and Kylor Kelley will combine for the most alley oops (by far), and Manchester's Tyrik Armstrong will have the most handle highlights!
β‘οΈ UK sides exit in Quarter-Finals of Red Bull 3x3 World Finals
The men's and women's UK representatives were in Rome this weekend just gone for the Red Bull Half Court World Finals - great set up and vibe - and after advancing in their first game, both sides fell in their respective Quarter-Finals.
That wraps up another week, as always, hit reply with any thoughts, questions or anything else,
With gratitude,
Sam
