🎙 Podcast: SLB Interim Chair Vaughn Millette

Felt good to get behind the mic and shake off the rust with a podcast. Vaughn Millette is the new Sheffield Sharks/Hatters owner who has found himself thrust into the role as SLB Interim Chair, as the league has got off the ground in just 10 weeks. It was a fascinating convo and I found Vaughn impressive - said all the right things and it feels like the league is moving in the right direction. Have a listen and let me know what you think.

🌱 How the SLB came to be

Newsletter exclusive as it hasn't been pushed on social yet - have spent a large part of today and yesterday writing up interviews I did with a bunch of the league owners at the media launch day on Monday. This is the result - almost 3,000 words on one of the craziest summers British basketball has ever seen and how the SLB is looking to move forward.

Hoopsfix understands DAZN beat out competition from the likes of Sky Sports and ITV X for the rights to the SLB, in a deal that means all the games will be in one place and entirely free. Tune in via DAZN tomorrow night as the new season tips off!
