3-Point Thursday #371
Oct 17, 2024 6:31 pm
Hey,
On the train back to London after a day in Brighton on site - how nice it is to get some coastal air and views!
This week's 3-pointer:
π Brighton Beach Court almost there!
Work on our second official basketball court renovation, at Brighton Beach, started this month and phase 1 is almost over the finish line. The tarmac was finished today (check the instagram account stories), while the posts, hoops and backboards went in earlier this week. It should set overnight, then the line markings will go down and should be reopened next week! In the spring we will come back for phase 2, which is the painting of the artwork design and do an official launch. Super happy with it, it's a significant upgrade on what was there before and I'm looking forward to seeing it come to completion!
π BBF opens up tender process for long-term professional league license
The British Basketball Federation (BBF) has launched a formal process for the appointment of a long-term licensee to operate the British professional menβs basketball league. You'd assume this is all part of running a transparent and open process and it will be the SLB that gets the long-term license...so let's see.
πΊπΈ Brits in College - hit us up!
It's that time of year again when we're doing our annual Brits in college list - if you know of any incoming freshman we might not be aware of, or transfers that might have gone under the radar, please let me know by replying to this email. You can see last year's men's list here and the women's list here. Stay tuned for the 2024/25 list!
That wraps up another drop, as always hit reply with any thoughts, questions or anything else!
With gratitude,
Sam
