3-Point Thursday #337

Nov 23, 2023 11:37 am

Hey,

A quick newsletter from Victoria station as I prepare to head to France for a few days to visit family!

This week's 3-pointer:

๐ŸŽ™ The realities of running a WBBL franchise with Len Busch

Recorded this a while ago but has taken me forever to get to editing and uploading - have wanted to chat with Len ever since it was announced Sevenoaks were pulling out of the WBBL. It was a very interesting chat and reiterated just how hard it is to make a women's basketball club work in the UK. Have a listen and let me know what you think...and with any luck I might get a few more episodes of the pod out this season!

๐Ÿ“บ Sky Sports secure NCAA rights in the UK

Great news for college hoops fans as Sky are going to show up up to 3 games per week through the regular season from November to March, along with all of March Madness, plus the NCAA Championship game on April 8th. Get locked in!

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Caledonia's FIBA Europe Cup campaign comes to an end

Caledonia Gladiatorsโ€™ European campaign came to an end following a 59-78 defeat at the hand of Surne Bilbao last night. Despite the premature ending to their season, it lays the foundation for future European campaigns, giving the club valuable experience moving forward. Meanwhile, the Lions men improved to 6-2 in the EuroCup with a hard fought win at the Copper Box, while the women keep on rolling as they have topped their group!

That wraps up another drop, as always, hit reply with with any thoughts, questions or anything else.

With gratitude,

Sam
