Something happened that I thought I would never witness.

On the way to church Sunday, I had to make a phone call to the police to report a little boy running on the street with nothing but a diaper on who clearly was far from any adult supervision. As he ran he kept looking behind him. Just as I was giving the description of the boy to the police, a car pulls up and starts putting the boy in the car. I give the description of the vehicle and plate number.

The officer said they already had the boy's mother on the phone and were asking her if this was someone she knew. He kindly thanked me and we ended the call. I wasn't told anything else, so I have no idea if that was a familiar person or not, but as soon as I saw the boy running, I had an uneasy feeling.

So, why am I sharing this with you? Hug your children. Keep them safe. Keep them close. We live in an evil world where predators lurk.

Human trafficking is real.

Yes, here in America, the numbers of human trafficking of both children and adults are astronomical. I don't know if this incident was a human trafficking situation, but I do know that it wasn't a safe situation.

I'm glad the police officers were on it and I pray that boy was returned safely to his mother. Will you pray with me for that little boy and all human trafficking victims?
