The one thing that helped lift my spirit

Hey, !
The one thing? Y'all...it's music. Yes, you read that right, MUSIC! To be more precise, hymns.
May I (Kimberly) be real for a second? Yesterday I couldn't snap out of a pitiful mood. Nothing, in particular, contributed to my downward mood, but I was in a rut most of the day.
Then I realized, I didn't spend any time, whatsoever, with my Creator. In my busyness, I missed the most important thing that keeps me together. Time with God.
As soon as I remembered that I failed on such an important level, I stopped what I was doing and put on some hymns. And believe me when I say, that it instantly boosted my mood!
There's something SO amazing about songs rich in theology that sings of God's glory and might. It takes all the focus off of me and points it to Him.
It was exactly what I needed and what the Good Doctor ordered.

The lyrics to that last one get me every time. "our sins, they are many. His mercy is more!" Wooooooo child! Praise God for His mercy!
