Set a goal for family worship in the New Year

Hey, !

I know Christmas is this week, but as a new year approaches, I find myself thinking about what I want to be more intentional about at home. Not the big, overwhelming goals, but the quiet rhythms that actually shape our family over time. One thing that keeps coming back to my heart? Family worship.

If I’m being honest, family worship has looked different in every season for us. Sometimes it’s been sweet and focused and other times it’s been short, noisy, and interrupted by wiggly kids. But I’ve learned this: it doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

A short Scripture reading. A hymn we sing (even if it’s off-key). A simple prayer before bed. Those small moments add up. They gently remind our children that God’s Word belongs in our everyday life, not just on Sundays.

As we head into a new year, maybe the goal isn’t to do more, but to be a little more faithful with what we already have. Start small. Keep it simple. Trust that the Lord will use your imperfect efforts to grow hearts that love Him.
