Hi ,

This month we have exciting news for up & coming and established filmmakers in the Los Angeles and S. California area. We've been asked so many times, at HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST and BOOBS & BLOOD about having a space to regularly screen new work, WIP pieces, get feedback and network with other filmmakers.

Well, we listened and now we've created a new OPEN MIC venue in Los Angeles. Read on...

OPEN MIC Screenings at INDIE FILM LA

If you have a short film, any genre, any year, that’s 10 minutes or less then we’d love to screen it at our new monthly OPEN MIC screenings. We’ve secured a great venue in Los Angeles that’s simply perfect for us. We encourage all filmmakers to discuss their work - both before and after their screenings. To mix and mingle over a drink in our theatre lounge afterwards. Building the filmmaker community here in L.A. Our venture is called appropriately INDIE FILM LA.

We decided to do this after hearing so many of you at our film festivals and meetups asking about a place to screen work and mix with other filmmakers. So we listened, and came up with INDIE FILM LA.

Entry is FREE. We hold screenings monthly. If we don’t accept your film one month we may accept it another. Simply due to limited space.

We’ll bring in special guests from time to time - from one of our many partners in distribution, production and exhibition. To help filmmakers expand their creativity and careers.

Just be available to come to your screening as we want filmmakers to network and also give feedback to each other. It’s an essential part of learning and growing your craft.

So we look forward to seeing lots of entries (old and new) from you all, especially as entry is FREE!
