What to do on "bad days"
May 26, 2021 10:36 pm
Ya know those days when good things keep getting thrown your way & it feels like you're high on life?
That is NOT how these past couple of weeks have been going for me...
It's felt like a whirlwind of surprise (not the fun kind), disappointment, and exponential stress. At the end of the day I know it's all a part of this game called life.
When not-so-good things get thrown toward you, it can make you feel incapable, vulnerable, unfocused, filled with uncertainty, and “stuck” in a certain position.
That crushes your productivity, dampens relationships (including work relationships), reduces the quality of your output, and a whole load of other damaging outcomes...
These curveballs of life, I like to call "clues".
I believe that we’re the "investigators" of our own life & it’s our mission to become curious, ask questions, and play around with these sh*tty situations.
So by approaching life’s curveballs (good and “bad") with an open mind, curiosity, and creative thinking, it opens up doors filled with opportunity.
Next time life throws these "clues" at you, get curious & ask some questions. (But don’t actually answer them… I know it sounds weird):
- How can it get any better than this? // What lesson can come from this? // Why has life chose me to experience this?
This puts you at an advantage by allowing you to look at all the various possibilities with an open mind & heart.
And when you do that, you can appreciate the good things even more, and detach/move forward from the “bad”.
What do you think?
Much love,
