Biohack to get more done in your sleep, literally...

As you may (or may not) know, the ability to solve problems faster & more effectively is one of the top skills when it comes down to having a thriving business.
And the coolest part about cultivating this skill is that we can actually practice it & gain reps in our sleep...
"Pshhh. Haylee, quit lying..."
I could never lie to you!
This happens through dreaming in the REM cycle.
Here’s the gist:
During sleep, our brain is filing away new memories. It’s deciding which memories to store & which ones not to. Then, the brain looks through all of those “files” (new & old) to try to find something useful that helps solve the problem(s) you’ve been thinking about while you were awake...
Essentially, it’s connecting the dots & looking for memories that are relevant to recent events.
During this stage of sleep is when our brain is testing all the different outlandish, out-of-the-box solutions to our “problem”.
Robert Stickgold (PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School’s Center for Sleep and Cognition) states:
“The brain is acting like a venture capitalist, It’s intentionally throwing a lot of spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks, knowing that some of it won’t.”
So what the hell could you be doing with this information?
1) Prepare for a good nights rest so you can get in your fair share of REM sleep each night… (AKA - dark room, exercise during the day, no phone time in bed, etc)
2) Start a dream journal! Have it by your bed & write out your dream within the first 90 seconds of waking up.
This is a practice that helps us think bigger, become more curious, more in touch with our intuition, and overall will allow us to solve problems in the future faster & with more innovation.
P.S - Oh, by the way, learning to leverage your body's natural capabilities is one of the most integral parts of helping my clients to become higher-performers & create more abundance in their business. Holler at me if that’s something you’d like to learn how to do.
Much love,
