Thomas Edison used this process to become successful

There's a particular process that's required for all types of success.

If you want a successful:

  • business.
  • relationship.
  • investment.
  • idea.

You must have this piece of the puzzle.

(I don't usually agree that something must be done to be successful. But in this case - It's vital.)

This particular process is one of the most powerful things on the planet.

Seriously. Royals, philosophers, billionaires, CEOs, inventors, noble peace prize winners...

They all use this process.

And it goes much further than the limitations of individual thinking.

"Just give it to me already!!"

Okay, okay.

Sorry for keeping you on the edge. 😅

It's collaboration. Tapping collective intelligence.

And it may sound simple, but HEAR ME OUT.

What is it:

Simply, collaboration is the art of working together towards a common goal.

It is a symbiotic relationship between individuals or groups.

That symbiotic relationship helps bring about a FUSION of ideas and ultimately, creativity.

Through collaboration, we combine our strengths & share our weaknesses.

But the magic 🪄 happens when we come up with solutions that we could never have arrived at on our own.

This is why collaboration is especially important for creativity.

It allows us to explore ideas that we may not have ever considered.

Through this mending of the minds, we get exposed to diverse:

  • perspectives
  • ideas
  • opinions
  • backgrounds
  • experiences

And this part is key.

These differences we each have are what bring a unique blend of ideas.

Ideas that challenge us to think outside the box.

Challenge us to consider new possibilities...

"Sooo, how can I practically use this information?"

Well, I'm glad you asked.

Here are 3 ways you can leverage collaboration to boost creativity & build on your success:

Option #1) Join a mastermind group:

Maybe you've already tried it and didn't like it?

Maybe you think they're lame?

Or maybe... you just haven't found the right FIT.

Mastermind groups are small groups of like-minded individuals who meet regularly to brainstorm ideas and provide feedback.

Joining an aligned mastermind group can help you get out of your own head and gain new insights from others who share your interests & skills that are complementary to yours.

Option #2) Attend workshops or seminars:

No. It doesn't have to be Tony Robbins or some other motivational speaker.

There are plenty of workshops where they paint. Or throw clay. Or make music. Or learn to build their business!

Regardless of what kind of workshop/seminar you go to...

attending them is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills.

These events provide us with opportunities to collaborate with others on projects, which leads to increased creativity.

Option #3) Use online collaboration tools:

Yes. You can collaborate remotely.

Now there's nothing that quite matches in-person collaboration, however, you made do with what you have.

And online tools like Trello, Asana, and Slack make it easy to work with others, even when we're not in the same building.

These tools provide a platform for sharing ideas, mind-mapping, collaborating on projects, and providing vital feedback. Which is a great way to foster creativity & innovation within a team or organization.

... Remember, creativity is not just about generating new ideas.

It's also about cultivating an environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and curiosity.

Feel ready to collaborate?

Hopefully.

Would love to hear your #1 favorite way to collaborate. Mine is LDJs.

P.S. When I'm not writing newsletters, I actually coach teams on how to collaborate in ways that save them time, stress, and money.

➡️ If you'd like support with that, just hit reply, write, "let's collab", and hit send.
