HO travels!

OK, so the subject line of this email may have been *a tad* misleading. But it did get your attention, and that's the point of sensationalistic journalism, isn't it? We are not scaling up our production or expanding our reach in a maniacal effort to become a global supermagazine. But we have been getting around. Recently, our readers (and family members) have been reppin' Highland Outdoors during their travels to exotic locales and foreign nations.

Nikki's brother (and now my brother-in-law!) Greg rockin' his Floral Laurel Tee high atop Mauna Kea in Hawaii, the world's tallest mountain (when measured from base to summit). While Mount Everest is Earth's highest-elevation summit, Mauna Kea is an impressive 33,500 feet tall (although over 19,000 feet of it is below sea level). How's that for a factoid you never thought you'd learn in our email newsletter?!

Here's longtime friend of the mag and subscriber David rockin' his Floral Laurel Tee at the Trevi Fountain in Rome, designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762. How's that for some fine art and high culture?

Bike Bash WV was a huge success

Although Nikki and I haven't been to any exotic or foreign locales in quite some time, we did spend the weekend slangin' mags and ridin' bikes at Bike Bash WV. In typical WV fashion, the week's beautiful weather ended Saturday afternoon and the rains came down hard into Sunday, but that didn't deter folks from getting out on the trails and having a big ol' bike party. This grassroots event is quickly becoming one of the premier bike events in the Mountain State and we are already stoked for next year!

Our vendor tent was hoppin' all weekend long. Big thanks to all our fans that stopped by to say hi!

The event expo was filled with bikes, bikers, and stoke for West Virginia.

Our standard tarp city survives another weekend rain storm. Half of the fun of Bike Bash is camping in the woods!
