Show Me The Money! Grants & Funding - Practical Tips & Support
Revised: April 2026
Hello Wonderful Innovators,
Spring is here and so is a loaded month of funding, support and practical opportunities. This month’s standout theme is procurement — the Procurement Act 2023 is now in play and Social Procurement Connect from Social Enterprise UK is making it easier for buying organisations to direct everyday spend toward social enterprises. If you supply goods or services, now is the time to get visible.
Featured (s)Hero: Timi Okuwa – CEO of Black Equity Organisation, Timi leads powerful work challenging structural race discrimination and building a fairer society, combining bold advocacy with practical systems change.
Featured Hero: Seb Elsworth MBE – Founding CEO of Access, the Foundation for Social Investment. Seb has spent years working to increase access to finance for community-based charities and social enterprises across England, helping build the infrastructure that makes social investment possible.
A parliamentary inquiry has confirmed what many of you already know — small businesses are facing pressures comparable to the pandemic, but without the coordinated support response. That finding strengthens the case for every grant application you write this month. Use it in your bids.
There’s strong funding across health, community spaces, heritage, skills, creative industries and sport. Several deadlines land in late April, so don’t sit on these. If you’re not sure where to start, pick the one closest to closing and work backwards.
April is also Stress Awareness Month — a timely reminder that building something meaningful takes energy, so look after yours too.
Entrepreneurs and business owners — check out The Entrepreneurs Network (TEN) events. They’re free to attend and are hosted up and down the country.
Featured Grant or Programme: Asda Foundation Local Community Spaces Fund – Over £1 million in grants of £10,000–£20,000 to create, repair or renovate community spaces that bring people together and tackle isolation, with applications opening 14 April 2026.

Top Tips for New Subscribers:
● If a grant or programme is not in your region, many funds listed are for the W Midlands. AI search the keywords within the grant, as the programme may be running in your area, under a different name.
● Use AI to search this document, as some of the grants have a short applications window.
