Show Me The Money! Grants & Funding - Practical Tips & Support
Revised: May 2024
Hello wonderful people,
One of my innovation idols, Prof Monder Ram is a Deputy Lieutenant. Monder and his team at CREME are keen to support more businesses submitting for the King’s Award for Enterprise. They are holding a masterclass with the lieutenants talking you through the application process. A couple of previous winners will be on hand to provide tips. Although Monder is based in the West Midlands the process will be similar for other regions.
Businesses that are struggling with cashflow and paying business rates, may qualify for rates relief. Councils do not advertise it, but it’s there. The wisdom sharer Ben. got 15% off his rates bill. I’ve included details for Sandwell in the W Midlands, but other councils will have similar schemes.
National Highways have launched England’s first social enterprise dynamic purchasing system (SEDPS), which is designed for organisations who have primarily social objectives and whose surpluses are principally reinvested into their business or communities.
Two more students, Aman demonstrating an Industrial Intelligence feature, to improve business plan content & Niraj Aryal demonstrating a feature to support the 90% of entrepreneurs who fail into better paying careers. Aman & Niraj are both studying Computer Science at Birmingham City University. To secure interns of your own, connect with the university contacts further down:

The good news is the number of spin-out companies that survived at least three years increased by 9%.
