[BOOK LAUNCH TEAM] 3 Quick Steps to Writing a Book Review

Aug 14, 2023 10:31 am

Hi ~

When you signed up for the Book Launch Team for Untwisting Scriptures #5 Brokenness and Suffering, you committed to writing a review of it for Amazon.

Maybe you've already written it and are holding it at the ready for when I tell you it's time. If that's the case, I bow and tip my hat to you.

[*Me searching for a gif of Fred Astaire in top hat and tails bowing and tipping his hat, and then thinking about reading about Fred Astaire on Wikipedia, and then finally jerking myself out of that trance and coming back to finish this email.*]

Ahem.

So, if you haven't written your review yet and are not sure how to write it, then this is for you, a few ideas about how you might approach it, some ideas for writing.

First, what were you taught about "brokenness" and "suffering," or what did you think about these concepts before you read the book?

Then, did any parts of the book challenge that thinking? Was that challenge good or bad? Helpful or unhelpful?

Next, what did you think of the overall tone of the book, the "attitude" as it were. (Yes, I probably do have an attitude, but I try not to let it show too much.)

You can also consider, were there any parts of the book that especially stood out to you?

And finally, would you recommend the book to others, and why or why not?

Well, it isn't supposed to feel like a test essay question, but a good review is so very helpful to let others know about the book, so thank you for volunteering for this!

All my best,

Rebecca
