Sydney Millage is a former member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.

This is the counseling organization that arguably most strongly promotes the "nouthetic" style of counseling started by Jay Adams, whose teachings I have vehemently refuted many times at my website.

In my first sentence above, note the word "former." As Sydney became more aware of wrong teachings and mishandling of abuse situations in the ACBC, she decided to withdraw from the organization.

Now she is guest posting on my website to dissect some of the teachings of the ACBC, some of their "warnings," which are very nearly the opposite of what one would expect from an organization that wants to help keep vulnerable people safe.

As she listened to a certain podcast episode, she heard the discussion through the analogy of sheep and wolves.

It made for an interesting adaptation.
