Don't "just start doing better"

Hi ~
Because you’re here, I’m sure you’ve noticed that the Christian life doesn’t work like a gumball machine. You don’t necessarily “get out” Awesome Prosperous Life after “putting in” Good Deeds and Trying to Measure Up.
Even though that may have been what you were told for years.
Things will turn around, you may have been told, if you
· Just try harder.
· Just do better.
· Just keep working at it.
Well, the funny thing is, the Bible doesn’t even teach that. (As you may already know.)
Instead, in each person, the Christian life needs its foundation laid. This comes in the fundamental understanding of
- who Jesus Christ is to and for us.
- what it means to be a New Covenant believer.
- what part is played by the Holy Spirit.
- what it means to walk in the spirit instead of the flesh.
- and more.
All of them life-changing truths.
That is, they will change your life. Right here, right now.
If you’ve tried to write a book, you may have had a similar experience.
- “I need to just do it.”
- “I need to just force myself to keep writing.”
- “I need to keep working at it.”
And then you burn out, feeling like a failure. Again.
But honestly, my friend, just like the Christian life, your book needs a foundation.
You have to know what it’s all about. That basic understanding, that big picture.
You need to “clear the land,” establish the answers to your four Clarity Questions, and build your framework . . .
. . . before you even start writing.
One of my passions as a trauma-informed book coach is to come alongside those who love the Lord God Most High, to help them write their books that will point others to the truth, to the glory of God.
And, as the successful award-winning author of over 20 nonfiction books, I know how to help you clear that land, lay that foundation and build that framework.
If writing a book is on your bucket list, then you’ll want to come to my free Live training, “That Book God Called You to Write: Get it from Your Bucket List to Your Reader’s Night Stand.” I’ll be presenting it twice, on Tuesday November 14 and again on Wednesday November 15.
In that live training, you’ll see new ways to remove some of those boulders that have been keeping you from being able to move forward with your book.
Boulders like “I’m a failure because I can’t push myself through to finish this book.”
Let’s get rid of that one. And some others too.
You’ll leave that training knowing how to lay the foundation for YOUR book that will be life-transforming for your reader.
If you haven’t registered yet, you can go here to register. I look forward to seeing you there!
With you for clearing that space and building that essential foundation, in life and in books,
Rebecca
P.S. If you’d rather not receive any more emails that mention writing your book, just reply “no” to this email, and I’ll take care of that. You’ll still be subscribed to Here’s the Joy.
P.P.S. If you’re ready to write that book God has laid on your heart, then you won’t want to miss this training. At the end I’ll be sharing an opportunity to work with me in a hands-on small-group setting.
