Whenever someone passes along a resource to me that I believe is excellent, I want to pass it along to you.

This time there are two of them, both about the same topic: church.

Eventually I want to write about these over at my website, but I want to get them to you sooner than that.

One is this free book The Great Ecclesiastical Conspiracy. You can find it in ebook form here.

Of course, as I do, I wrote to the authors, George Davis and Michael Clark, to thank them for a book that brought so much clarity to me. They're in their 80s now and were delighted that someone is still benefiting from a website they made so many years ago.

The second resource I'm recommending is a series of seven YouTube videos by Tom Wadsworth. The series is based on his extensive dissertation research, and I found it fascinating. I listened to all seven and was greatly encouraged.

Of course I also wrote to Tom, to thank him.

I knew there were problems with the modern Western corporation-style church, without a doubt. I knew it was far afield from what the New Testament describes as the meetings of believers.

But The Great Ecclesiastical Conspiracy uncovered some things about the King James Bible I hadn't known--but that made a whole lot of sense!

And Tom Wadsworth's series on The New Testament Assembly touched on some points I was very aware of and at other points actually kind of blew my mind.

I'm so thankful to be gaining wisdom from the wisdom of others. Time to let you know about it.

AND . . . if you have any resources to recommend about what the "church" really is and what the church gathering should be like, I'd love to hear about them!
