Only one life, 'twill soon be past . . .

Hi ~

Twenty years ago, evangelical guru John Piper wrote a book called Don’t Waste Your Life.

I never read that book (and perhaps we can talk about John Piper another time), but I loved that title.

I was in my mid-40s, and I didn’t want to waste my life.

Only one life, ’twill soon be past.

Only what’s done for Christ will last.

(Did you know it?)

I wasn’t sure what direction the Lord would lead me after homeschooling my four children, but I wanted very much to do something to further the Kingdom of God.

Little did I know—because I didn’t understand anything about spiritual abuse in those days—but besides all the missionary books I wrote for children, my work was going to encompass writing 5 volumes (so far) in the Untwisting Scriptures series.

The responses I get from my readers assure me that even if I don’t accomplish anything else, these published books have sent a message out about the goodness of God.

They are at least one way I have not wasted my life.

As I’m in my 60s now, I’m reminded about how short life is. And I praise God that—even though all those Bible study notes in the closet will surely get thrown out—my books will live on after me.

How about you?

Do you have a way for your life lessons—those lessons the Lord has so gently accomplished in you—to live on after you? Do you want to have one?

I'm sure you do.

A book is one of the most wonderful ways to accomplish that.

Today and tomorrow I’m presenting a free Live training for you, “That Book God Called You to Write: Get It from Your Bucket List to Your Reader's Night Stand.”

Join us.

With you for longing for our life lessons to live on after us,

 Rebecca

P.S. Even if you can’t make the live training, if you register, you'll get the replay.
