The Masquerade of Betrayal

Hi ~

Have you or a loved one experienced betrayal in a church setting?

You may feel that it wasn't as "significant" or "bad" as someone else's story.

But in the spirit of "not comparing ourselves among ourselves" (2 Corinthians 10:12), let's consider that betrayal is significant and bad wherever it is found, whatever the circumstances.

After all, it's not betrayal if we didn't trust the person(s) who did it. That trust used against the people of God is what makes betrayal the devastating thing that it is.

Today at my website, you'll find a guest post from Anna Kruz, "Leaving the Church Masquerade."

As she in good faith was gladly serving the Lord in the Christian school associated with her church, she was betrayed.

These stories need to be heard.

And I pray that those who truly love the Lord and His true ecclesia will prayerfully ponder the dynamics that can keep in place those systems that so smoothly foster such betrayal.

Read Anna's guest post here.

Praying with you for the cleansing of His church,

Rebecca
