I considered it. I really did.

I actually spent several hours exploring the new free Artificial Intelligence writing software called “Chat GPT.” It writes for you on request—for free.

I also explored various paid programs that are tweaking Chat GPT to make it oh-so-amazing to help me write my emails and blog posts faster, better, smarter.

All I had to do was give it the right prompts.

This seems like a pretty decent idea if you’re asking the AI to simply gather information that’s readily available on the internet (and if you’re not concerned about the fact that it’s programed to be witheringly politically correct).

So I was thinking, “Let’s see. I would feed it the Bible—no the Bible is already out there. I would tell it to read the Bible and read all my blog posts so it would see how I think. I would feed it all the pieces of blog posts and snippets of ideas I’ve been storing on my computer for 15 years. So then when I ask it to write an email or blog post for me, it would gather everything together and read my mind . . . no, that’s not how it works, not yet anyway, I don’t think . . .”

“I would teach it to always read the Bible with the foundational understanding that the New Covenant is superior to the Old. No, I have no idea how I can make it do that.”

I ultimately came to the conclusion that I would need to lead it to Christ and make sure it was relying on the Holy Spirit.

Didn’t seem like much of a viable option for me.

I think I’ll still be writing my own emails for a while.

When artificial intelligence takes over the world? Haha, don’t get me started.
