You may be aware that untwisting Scriptures is my more public ministry.

I love sending you my "Tiny Untwistings" almost every week, and I'm passionate about writing my articles and Untwisting Scriptures books to help believers know the true heart of God for them.

But the Lord gives us other opportunities too.

I'm also passionate to point out different possible ways that we as the people of God can be there for the most wounded among us.

This is the conversation I had recently with with Lisa Meister of the "Only God Rescued Me" podcast. (Lisa is part of the team speaking on organized abuse at the Called to Peace retreat in May.)

We talked about practical ways to help the needy--ways that might not be immediately obvious.

There are many ways we can help those who have experienced extreme abuses. As the Lord brings healing and strength in the life, we can ask Him how we can serve those that others overlook.
