Hi ,

Last week, I spent more time with a thermometer than my laptop.

My daughter came down with a bug, and suddenly my to-do list shrank to one item: keep her comfy and cuddled.

Between the tears and Little Angel marathons, I noticed something.

Even though my business brain wanted to keep moving, post the content, design the Canva graphics, send the emails, my mum heart knew I needed to pause.

And here’s the twist: that pause didn’t break my business.

It actually gave me clarity.

Because while she was snoozing beside me on the couch, I realised something powerful, the same thing I see so many women struggle with online:

We’re trying to do all the things, all the time.

Create perfect content. Keep up with trends. Make our Canva posts look like a designer’s dream.

But your business doesn’t grow from constant output, it grows from aligned energy.

And sometimes that energy needs rest, space, or a bit of snuggle time with your little one.

So if you’ve been beating yourself up for not posting enough, or spending hours tinkering with Canva layouts instead of actually connecting with your people… this is your permission slip.

Your audience doesn’t need more polished content — they need more of YOU.

Show up imperfectly. Share the behind-the-scenes moments. Let them see your humanity, the sick days, the slow days, the real days.

That’s what builds connection and trust (and ironically, it’s what converts).

Here’s a quick reframe I use when I start spiraling into “I should be doing more” mode:

👉 Instead of asking, “What do I need to create today?”

Ask, “What would feel good to share today?”

It’s a small shift, but it’ll change everything, especially if you’re growing your brand online as a busy woman wearing both the business owners hat and the mum hat.

So this week, whether you’re sipping coffee in peace or wiping another runny nose, remember:

Your business thrives when you do.
