Every afternoon, my daughter and I wander out to the garden together.

She’s happiest with her hands in the dirt; planting, watering, and chatting away while we work side by side.

I hang two watering cans on the fence — one for her, one for me.

It’s our little ritual. We water the garden together.

She just enjoys the process; a bit of sun, a bit of patience, and trust that what she’s nurturing will grow.

And every time I watch her, I’m reminded of how much business is like that garden.
