Good evening,

I can't say this has been the most productive week for me. If I were to rate my progress this week, it would be 1 1/2 stars. LOL

Some weeks I seem to push full steam ahead like there's no tomorrow...and other weeks I feel like I'm trying to walk up hill with heavy, weighted feet. (I have had dreams in the past about my feet weighing so much and sliding back that I can't get up the hill. Hahaha! Have you ever had a dream like that??)

If you're struggling, too, the thing that matters the most is that we just keep taking baby steps forward. Baby steps forward are still progress!

Just like in sports (and board games that I've played) ... the one who was far behind and still won was the one (or team) that didn't give up and didn't quit.

No, sometimes we don't win... but we sure do reveal our real character in struggles and learn a lot along the way! [GRIN]

Well, I'm just reaching out to share a tiny tidbit from my journal today...

How to Get HELP from GOD:

• Put some things AWAY in your life.

You need to be willing to put some things away in your life. If you want to have a good relationship with God, and for Him to hear your prayers, you cannot be holding on to sin in your life.

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” Psalm 66:18 kjv

• Prepare your heart.

You need to prep your heart to be helped. Make the necessary heart & attitude adjustments in order for God to help you. Make sure bitterness and pride is put away and you've forgiven any grudges you have.

Matthew 6:14-15 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Ephesians 4:31 - Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Proverbs 16:5 - Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Psalm 51:10 - "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."

• Pray

Ask God sincerely for help. Have you ever seen a little child insisting on tackling something that is way too big to handle fall by himself?

Sometimes we try to fix things ourselves and it sure does get frustrating! We can always depend on God. He's often waiting patiently for us to give up our fleshly battle of doing it all ourselves, and finally yielding it all to Him and realizing He is sufficient... He is enough... He is ALL we need!

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Romans 8:26 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
