[HCH] Just being open and real with you today
Jul 09, 2020 2:26 am
Hello lovely ladies,
I hope you had a wonderful July 4th with your family and friends. I was able to see all three of my sons last weekend; however, not all on the same day. I do feel like life is just too short to let any moments together pass by without enjoying and truly appreciating the moment. It's a gift from God to have family and true friends.
Change of subject....
I'm sitting here glancing at my weekly planner. I have no exercises done yet this week. (Not feeling well, due to dealing with an infection.) I'm looking at what I've decluttered this week so far: A big fat zero. (But, hey, the week isn't over yet. Ha! ha!) And I can also think of one time this week that I wasn't "walking in the spirit" and had to apologize to my hubby. Also, still behind on getting my house back up to par after company, etc.
So far this week, I feel worthless. No pity party here! I'm just being totally open and honest with you. It's easy to look on social media at those perfect pictures and seemingly perfect lives of others and compare yourself. (Which is one reason to limit your time on those sites. Ha! It can be hard to manage your time there, speaking from experience.)
If you feel down or like a failure at times, remember you're not alone. We're all human with flaws.
Psalms 103:14 is one of my favorite verse. It says, "For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust."
Remember, God is merciful and good. He knows we're but flesh. God couldn't love you more than He already does!
Think about that again.... God couldn't love you more than He already does! We can accomplish little or much.... but what we accomplish doesn't earn more of God's love!
Now, I'm not promoting to be lazy. Ha! ha! But, I am saying that our value does not depend solely on our failures and successes. We all have those kind of ups and downs in life. Just know that you are indeed loved just as you are at this moment.
My Friend, Keep Walking in FAITH,
Rhonda White (rhondawhite@outlook.com)

7 Tidbits from my journal: (Use these ideas for your journal or ministry)
Each day is a choice to do better.
GOAL: "The goal is not an earthly crown but a heavenly reward." - Dr. Tim Green
God's Word is the remedy for fixing "snakebites." - Refreshing Daily in God's Word, June 2020 (God's Word is the answer for everything! Amen!)
It ALWAYS costs us to walk outside the will of God.
The best thing is to close the gate of past failures and anticipate success, due to the lesson learned, thus: ...forgetting those things..." (Philippians 3:13b) - Forgot to write down resource for this quote.
Our view of this world must be Biblical if we are to make a difference for God's glory. - RDIGW, June 2020
QUESTION: Application of God's Word is extremely important. When you're reading God's Word, how are you going to apply what you've read?

Bible Verse of the Week:
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abomible works, there is none that doeth good." - Psalm 14:1 kjv
We see so many people these days making a mockery of Christianity and claiming there is no God. Let's not join their foolishness!

Today's Tidy Up Tips: How to Use Plates, Bowls, Cups, and Boxes to Organize
You’ve heard the saying, “It’s the little things that matter most.” This is undeniably true when you want to declutter any area of your life. The small things can give you the most trouble as you try to declutter and organize.
If your top drawers serve as “junk” drawers for items that you don’t even remember you have, this is an area worth decluttering first -- and then organize all those little items inside larger areas or zones.
Putting things together, based on how, when or where they are used, is a good way to keep them organized in a useful, convenient way. When things are just stuffed in a drawer, put into a big box, or tossed into a large container labeled “Miscellaneous,” you create a roadmap straight to chaos and confusion.
Here’s a few ways to repurpose items you may already own in order to start grouping those smaller items together….
Pretty Plates -- You can use attractive plates that aren’t for meals (you can use those, too, if that’s what you have) to store jewelry, set up your brush and comb or to display your electronics. The plate is a way to designate an area of your dresser or other surface for the item you want to store.
Bowls -- A nice bowl is great for salad of course, but it’s also good for keeping near the entrance to collect wallets, keys, and change. You can also use bowls in other areas to store things that you need to use in an attractive way. For example, hair ties, bobby pins are more useful when corralled in a bowl rather than shoved someplace in a bundle of clutter.
*Side note: I have a dainty little ceramic bowl with roses that I keep two nail polishes, nail clippers and a tiny nail polish remover. I store this in my desk drawer and love the pretty display when I pull it open to use it. Thrift stores are a great place to find single, decorative pieces like this.
Cups / Mugs -- Cups are great for holding and organizing individual collections, such as pens, toothbrushes, and anything that is considered to be slightly on the tall side. There is no reason you need to buy a specific toothbrush holder. Repurpose a gifted cup that doesn’t really suit you. Stick it in a cabinet or drawer to organize small things. It’s easy to wash in the dishwasher and to replace if it gets chipped or broken.
*Side note: I keep a mug that was gifted to me in my kitchen to hold small spatulas and kitchen gadgets. Thrift stores are once again a great place to find all kinds of mug designs if you are lacking extras.
Boxes / Storage Containers -- You can buy lots of different sized boxes at the Dollar Store that you can use for organization. If you shop online and have things delivered to your home frequently, you may be able to use those boxes. (Just beware that some boxes from warehouses can harbor roaches, so you might want to spray them and let them air out first.)
Smaller boxes can be decorated and used to store different collections such as jewelry, makeup, paint tubes, art supplies, or for anything you want to put inside a drawer or cabinet.
Repurposing items in order to organize your smallest objects is a great way to save money. In addition, it’s a wonderful way to challenge your creativity. Regardless of what items you need to store, you probably already have items that you can repurpose to help you group like-items together.
